Qualification overview
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace.This Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations -Cranes and Specialist Lifting Plant provides the opportunity for individuals who specialise in operating cranes and specialist lifting plant to demonstrate their competence. There is also a Level 2 Diploma in this occupational area. The units in this qualification are derived from National Occupational Standards.
Description
TheL2 NVQ Certificate in Plant Operations (Construction) – Laying and Distributing Plant is a work based qualification for experienced workers.
Categories included in this qualification include:
- Crawler Cranes above 10t
- Crawler Tractor Side Booms
- Mobile Cranes NVQ
- Tower Cranes NVQ
Candidates will need to compile a portfolio of work-based evidence, along with an on-site assessment.
The qualification can take up to 6 months to complete, depending on work commitments, and you will be given high levels of support throughout the process.
If you already hold a Red CPCS Trained Operators Card achieving this qualification will gain you a Blue CPCS Competence Card.
